Thank you for your interest in joining us at The Massage Place Collective. The Massage Place has been part of the Olympia community since 2001 and has functioned as a collectively run business model since 2010.
We are a small group of massage practitioners and individual business owners who took on the grand adventure of developing a business model based on the principles of collectivism. We have come together in a collective decision-making process around overlapping business structures and policies to not only support ourselves as business professionals but also support the clients who walk through our doors.
As part of the collective you benefit from joining a well-respected and established massage business practice with a loyal and solid clientele. We also share a 24 hour scheduling service, website, linens and linen service, washer/dryer, kitchenette and private group area for paperwork and downtime, strong on line presence, new clientele access, and Collective retreats to relax with each other and have some fun.
As a member you will be joining a group process that will ask you to contribute volunteer time to become an integral part our collective community. Time commitments include are monthly collective meetings, spring cleanings, holiday greenings, retreats,and daily/weekly office chores to keep us running smoothly. Yes, it is more of a time commitment then your typical rental agreement but the benefits in being supported by a group of creative professionals and active in a collective process is tenfold.
We are looking for mature practitioners with good communication skills, a minimum of 3 years work experience as a massage therapist and licensed in the State of Washington. Life experience can be considered for work experience.
