Welcome! Here is what to expect when getting your massage during the COVID-19 era. -When you arrive for your appointment, please call the front desk (360-867-0725), or your therapists’ personal number if you have it, to let them know you are in the parking lot. They will come and get you when ready. -Masks will be required at all times inside. If you have forgotten your mask, one can be provided. Do not suggest to your therapist that you are okay with forgoing the mask if they are. The important principle to remember is that I wear a mask to protect YOU, and you wear one to protect ME. The science is very clear that they are very effective at slowing the spread of infection. We are all in this together, so let's all protect each other! -Once inside, you will fill out required forms, as well as get a quick forehead temperature check. (A temperature of 100.4’ is the medical cutoff standard, and we would have to cancel and reschedule your appointment for a later date.) If the waiting area is occupied, your therapist may bring the forms out for you to complete in your car. -During your massage, the mask can be removed while you are face down, but will need to be worn when facing up. We use a face cradle hammock technique, which effectively replaces your mask while you are facedown, and it is then simple to slip your own mask on when you are face-up. -We at The Massage Place are taking all CDC precautions seriously. We are committed to adopting best practices, as they evolve. We are following strict disinfecting and cleaning protocols. New UV sterilization air purifiers are spaced throughout the building, as well as windows and doors opened to allow air flow. We are leaving extra time between appointments to let the rooms air out fully, and to thoroughly disinfect the space. And of course, all linens and blankets are changed between every client. -Please do not bring anyone with you to your appointment; we are making every effort to minimize the number of people in the building. If you, or anyone around you is feeling sick, please contact us to reschedule your appointment. We will do the same for you. -For the time being, we are not providing water or tea in the lobby. Of course, we are happy to give you some if you specifically request it, but please remember to bring your own water bottle to stay hydrated.
